Stop The Trans Pacific Partnership

Although the White House has forbidden Congress from discussing its provisions, we know from leaked documents that the proposed Trans Pacific Partnership is the most outrageous corporate power grab ever. It would purport to grant multinational corporations vast new powers and that, among these, are virtual veto-powers over local environmental and labor laws.

The terms being pushed by President Obama are so obnoxious that there are apparently no other countries in the world willing to go along with them, probably the only reason we are not already suffering under its effects.

Many, many members of Congress have signed letters opposing this proposed bad deal for the American people and the rest of the world. We thank those who have, and call on all others to stand up for their constituents in the same way, in particular by opposing fast track treatment that would do an end run around the responsibility of Congress.
