In a historic 10-8 vote today, July 10, 2014, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to send the latest markup of S.J.Res.19 to the full Senate for a vote.

The Supreme Court has increasingly held that Congress has no power to regulate the amount of money now flooding our elections. This is not a partisan issue. This about big special interest money against all the rest of us.

On July 15, 2014, at 4PM, Representatives Deutch, Edwards and McGovern will be introducing the House companion bill to S.J.Res. 19 at a press conference.

We, The People, call on all members of the House to immediately rally behind and to cosponsor this proposed constitutional amendment, to restore the power of democracy back into the hands of the actual people, where it belongs.
